You may be interested in the launch of the fourth PQIP cohort report, with a focus on up-to-date evidence on preoperative care.


Over 46,000 patients have been recruited, with the three key themes running through the new report being: reducing complications and length of stay after surgery, simplifying enhanced recovery and promoting teamwork, including with patients.


Find out about the national improvement highs and lows, the current research from the PQIP database, and the new top five priorities based on the PQIP data recommended for local PQIP teams.


Expert Professor Mary Dixon-Woods will be speaking. Director of THIS institute and the Health Foundation Professor of Healthcare Improvement Studies in the Department of Public Health and Primary Care at the University of Cambridge.


Prof Dixon-Wood’s research focuses on generating a high-quality evidence base to support improvement in the organisation, quality, and safety of healthcare. She will discuss her area of expertise in fostering collaboration to support sustainable quality improvement.
