The Centre for Perioperative Care have released new guidelines in June 2021 for Preoperative Assessment and Optimisation for Adult Surgery.

The guideline contains key recommendations for:

  • commissioners
  • NHS X
  • primary care providers
  • surgeons, anaesthetists and multidiscilinary teams
  • preoperative assessment services
