The Centre for Perioperative Care have released new guidelines in June 2021 for Preoperative Assessment and Optimisation for Adult Surgery.
The guideline contains key recommendations for:
- commissioners
- NHS X
- primary care providers
- surgeons, anaesthetists and multidiscilinary teams
- preoperative assessment services
Preoperative Care Services for Children and Young People This Best Practice Guidance covers the care of children and young people (0–18 years old) presenting for surgery, procedures or imaging under general anaesthesia or anaesthetic-led sedation.
