Consultant Anaesthetist and Clinical Lead for Preoperative Assessment
Dr Patel is a Consultant Anaesthetist at the University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust, where he also serves as Clinical Lead for Pre-Assessment Services and Perioperative Medicine.
His theatre sessions include Vascular Surgery and Emergency General Surgery.
Dr Patel’s specialist interests focus on the perioperative multidisciplinary management of high-risk surgical patients, along with the development of preoperative pathways and clinical guidelines to enhance patient safety.
He also has a strong interest in digital healthcare technologies and medical education.
