RGN MSc V300
Lee qualified as an RGN in 1988. His early years were spent working within general medicine, A&E and intensive units in the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand.

Lee founded A & L Healthcare Consultancy in 2003. This was to provide clinical training & consultancy services primarily within preoperative assessment whilst also developing courses in advanced skill-sets for nurses and allied healthcare professionals. Many of the courses in the company's portfolio are now CPD accredited by Salford University in Greater Manchester.
One of Lee's main passions is to promote preoperative assessment as a dynamic speciality and encourage staff to develop clinical expertise through training, clinical practice and mentorship.
In 2014 Lee co-authored National Training Standards and competencies on preoperative assessment in 2014 on behalf of the Preoperative Association. Lee assisted with the design and delivery of the Preoperative Associations competency-based training programme. He contributed to the 3rd edition of Pudners Surgical Nursing textbook on Preoperative Assessment and continues to facilitate clinical skills workshops at National Conferences. Lee trains both nationally and internationally. He served on the board of the Preoperative Association from 2006 until 2021.
Lee has always maintained some clinical practice as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner working in both primary care and currently within an NHS preoperative assessment unit.
Lee spends most of his free time travelling on his bike and playing music.
