- Accredited elearning units available in Pre-Operative Assessment -
The NHS is pleased to launch an elearning programme which it has developed in collaboration with higher education partner, The University of Southampton. Three levels of study are available from diploma to masters. Accredited elearning units available in Pre-Operative Assessment.
- National Association of Paediatric Preoperative Assessment Meeting (29.11.06) -
A meeting of the NAPPA will be held on Thursday the 8th February 2007 from 11.00 – 15.00

- POISE - Peri-operative Implementation Study Evaluation -
A research project designed to improve peri-operative fasting care will shortly be underway to evaluate three guideline implementation strategies for peri-operative fasting. Organised jointly by the Royal College of Nursing Institute and the Royal College of Anaesthetists, 30 trusts will be asked to take part. Please click for further details or for the official flyer.
- 3rd National Anaesthesia Research Meeting (22.11.06) -
The Anaesthesia Research Trust will be holding their 3rd national conference on the 18-20 April 2007. The meeting aims to provide a forum to discuss current thinking, methods, equipment, funding and research for anaesthesia. Several members of the Preoperative Association Steering Group will be speaking at the meeting which hopes to attract a number of nursing staff.
